My most favorite beauty products

Primally Pure

Primally Pure is one of those brands where once you start using it, you’re kind of stuck forever. In a good way!

The Everything Spray, Soothing Spray, Soothing Cream, Dry Skin Cleansing Oil, Soothing Bar, and the Peppermint Lip Balm are all on my repeat orders. These are the products I replace as soon as I’m running low!

And I could keep going… the Eucalyptus + Lavender Body Wash? So good. I’m fully in love.

Honestly, just try anything from this company. Their products are simple, clean, and actually effective. Once you find what you love, it’s hard to want anything else.

Toups and Co Organics

I primarily use Toups & Co for makeup. They also make incredible tallow balms and skincare products—I just happened to fall in love with Primally Pure first. But when it comes to clean makeup, Toups & Co is in a league of its own.

Their makeup is far superior to any truly clean brand I’ve tried. My go-to products are the Liquid Foundation (my shade is Pecan), Mineral Makeup (Medium), Flawless Face Primer, and the Natural Eye Makeup Palette (Original).

There is something about the primer + liquid foundation + mineral makeup combo that just works. It looks natural, smooth, and like your skin—but better. And the eyeshadow palette works for literally every occasion.

Thrive Causemetics

So you’re like cool but, Christy, what about mascara?!

This is where Thrive comes in. I can honestly say it would take something massive for me to believe there’s a better clean mascara on the market.

The Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Tubing Mascara—and only this one—is the answer.

Hands down. No questions asked.

I get asked all the time if my lashes are real LOL, and I’m truly very low-maintenance when it comes to makeup. But when your lashes look good, you just feel good. Oh and because it’s tubing mascara it literally SLIDES off your lashes with WATER. Not kidding.

Under Luna

Under Luna is the cutest little family business with the sweetest story. This mama started making her own shampoo for her babies because she wanted to feel good about what they were being exposed to—and it grew into something really special.

Story aside, I’d still choose these products because they genuinely are amazing.

Their shampoo is different than what most of us are used to. The first time you use it, it doesn’t really suds, and that’s actually part of the process. Most of us have years of buildup from conventional hair products. With Under Luna, you keep washing until you get suds—and that’s how you know your hair is truly clean!

After a couple of weeks, it will suds on the first wash, and I love knowing my hair and scalp are actually healthy. Everything smells amazing, the bottles feel luxurious, and my hair has never felt better.

My personal favorites are the Warrior Shampoo, Serenity Conditioner, and Body Cleanser.

A Couple Side Notes (Eyebrows + Deodorant)

Okay, quick side notes—eyebrows and deodorant. It’s time to expose myself a little.

Eyebrows

My eyebrows have always been… an issue. Sparse, uneven, doing their own thing. That was the case until I found the best eyebrow girls on the planet. Shout out to Sorella Med Spa

After about a year of trying to grow as much hair back as possible, I finally agreed to microblading. And when I say I was scared, I mean terrified. It took literal months of them calmly talking me through it before I finally said yes. No exaggeration.

Best decision ever. I would do it again a million times over—but only with them. I’ve heard way too many horror stories elsewhere. Dominique did my microblading and Giuliana is my own going brow gal!

All of that to say: I trust Giuliana with my life. Whatever she tells me to use, I use. The powder she has me fill in with is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo (I use the shade Medium Brown).

Is it clean? No.
Do my brows look amazing? Yes.
And sometimes, that’s the trade-off.

Deodorant

Now for the real exposure… especially coming from a holistic nutritionist.

I only use one deodorant. I’ve used it for years. My husband uses it too. And unless they stop making it, I probably won’t ever switch.

It’s not considered “clean,” and I’m okay with that.

I use the Arm & Hammer Essentials Rosemary Lavender Deodorant. And funny enough, it smells nothing like rosemary or lavender. It just has a clean, fresh scent that I really love. It goes on clear, doesn’t leave a weird residue, and doesn’t give that gross pit smell buildup throughout the day.

Sometimes I reapply because I sweat it off easily—but honestly, I kind of like that. It doesn’t feel like it’s clogging everything up.

I’m not saying I recommend this if you’re actively trying to swap everything for cleaner products. This is just me being honest. You have to pick your battles—and this is one I’ve chosen!

with love,

Christy
